General

What is Stock Prism?

Stock Prism is an AI-powered stock analysis platform that evaluates US-listed companies through multiple analytical methods — the Five Factors (五事) scoring framework and the Bull vs Bear Debate method. It aggregates public financial data and uses AI models to provide structured, transparent analysis to help individual investors make more informed decisions.

Is Stock Prism free to use?

Yes. Stock Prism offers a daily analysis limit for free users. You can analyze multiple stocks per day across all available methods. The free tier provides full access to all analysis features including Five Factors scoring, Bull vs Bear debates, valuation estimates, and the comparison tool.

Which stocks can I analyze?

Stock Prism supports all US-listed equities with sufficient public financial data. This includes stocks on NYSE, NASDAQ, and other major US exchanges — covering thousands of publicly traded companies from mega-cap to small-cap.

Analysis & Methodology

How does the Five Factors method work?

The Five Factors method evaluates companies across five weighted dimensions inspired by Sun Tzu's Art of War: Purpose (15%), Climate (15%), Terrain (30%), Leadership (25%), and Discipline (15%). Each factor is scored 0-100 using both quantitative financial data and qualitative AI analysis. The weighted composite score maps to a recommendation from Strong Buy to Avoid.

What is the Bull vs Bear Debate?

The Debate method stages a structured adversarial debate between a Bull (optimistic) and Bear (pessimistic) AI agent. Over three rounds covering fundamentals, competitive position, and forward outlook, each side presents evidence and rebuts the other. A neutral synthesizer then issues a final verdict ranging from Clear Bull to Clear Bear.

How accurate is the analysis?

Stock Prism provides structured analysis based on publicly available financial data and AI interpretation. While we strive for high-quality, consistent analysis, no method can predict future stock performance with certainty. Our tools are designed to help you organize and evaluate information systematically — they should be used as one input among many in your investment research.

What data sources does Stock Prism use?

Stock Prism aggregates data from multiple financial data providers covering up to 5 years of financial statements, SEC filings (10-K, 8-K, DEF 14A proxy statements), analyst consensus estimates, insider trading records, ESG ratings, and real-time market data. Both structured numerical data and unstructured text (earnings transcripts, filings) are analyzed by the AI models.

How is intrinsic value calculated?

Stock Prism uses a blended valuation approach combining Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) analysis and relative valuation (comparing multiples like P/E, P/S, EV/EBITDA against industry peers). The resulting intrinsic value estimate is compared to the current market price to calculate a margin of safety percentage.

Data & Security

Is my data secure?

Yes. Stock Prism uses enterprise-grade security including encrypted connections (TLS), Row Level Security for data isolation so users can only access their own data, secure OAuth authentication through Google, and we collect only the minimum information necessary to provide the service.

Can I delete my account and data?

Yes. You can delete individual analyses at any time from your dashboard. For complete account deletion, submit a request through the Feedback page and we will process your deletion request, permanently removing your personal data from our systems.

Does Stock Prism store my financial information?

No. Stock Prism does not ask for, store, or access your brokerage accounts, bank details, or any personal financial information. We only store your analysis history and preferences.

Usage & Features

Can I compare multiple stocks?

Yes. The comparison feature lets you analyze two or more stocks side by side using the Five Factors method, making it easy to compare scores across all dimensions and identify relative strengths and weaknesses.

What is the Watchlist feature?

The Watchlist lets you save up to 20 stocks you want to track. You can add notes to each stock and quickly re-analyze them as new data becomes available. Star any stock from an analysis result to add it to your watchlist.

Can I share my analysis results?

Yes. Every completed analysis has a share feature that generates a unique link. Anyone with the link can view the full analysis results without needing a Stock Prism account — making it easy to discuss investment ideas with friends or colleagues.

Is Stock Prism investment advice?

No. Stock Prism is an analytical tool, not a registered investment advisor. Our analysis provides structured information to support your research process, but it does not constitute investment advice. Always consult a qualified financial professional before making investment decisions, and never invest more than you can afford to lose.
